Colchester receives funding to train volunteers in doctor recruitment support
TRURO, N.S. — Having a crew of volunteers trained and ready to help when doctors are checking out Colchester County is something Brennan Gillis wants to see.
Gillis, who is CEO of the Truro and Colchester Partnership for Economic Prosperity believes funding announced this week will help with that. The partnership is receiving $25,000 through the new Healthy Communities Stream to support plans to train volunteers to welcome doctors and their families to the community.
