Tourism and tourism-related businesses have been heavily impacted by the pandemic. With tight travel restrictions limiting a full recovery, many operators have been forced to pivot and adapt in these unprecedented times. 

Join us Wednesday, March 24, from 8:30AM – 11:45AM for a virtual Tourism Sector Symposium.  It is free and open to Cumberland and Colchester tourism and tourism-related businesses.

This symposium is an opportunity for businesses to share and discuss challenges faced in the current environment. The symposium will include:

  • A panel of businesses who will share their experiences and learnings from 2020. Panelists include:
    • Jill Linquist, President – Raging Crow Distillery
    • Tom Trueman, Owner – Trueman Farms
    • Brian Hebert, Owner – Fundy Treasures
  • A presentation from M5 Marketing Communications on Nova Scotia research, findings and marketing strategies.
  • A facilitated discussion where businesses can share information and explore opportunities to rebound from the pandemic.

OCTOBER 2020 - Accelerated Market Readiness (AMR) is an opportunity for tourism operators to look to the future once again.

The Accelerated Market-Readiness (AMR) program offers tourism businesses individual, real-time, one-on-one mentoring to find solutions to business development and market readiness issues.

  • One-on-one tourism consulting tailored to your needs with a certified AMR professional Consultant.
  • Delivered on-site at your tourism business between Sept 15 to Oct 14, 2020.
  • Work with an AMR Consultant virtually to determine your business’ individual needs.
  • Two half-day sessions on-site at your business.
  • Receive a written Action Plan with timelines and resources available to help.
  • Follow-up on the Action Plan with the AMR Consultant at 6 months and 12 months.

AMR is an estimated 3-day commitment over 12 months with a “certified” AMR Consultant experienced in market-readiness, tourism business operations & solutions.

COST
The value of the AMR Consultation Program is $2,500/business; due to funding support from ACOA and the Truro & Colchester Partnership for Economic Prosperity, the cost to business is only $250.
